Tuition Help

So i'm a current computer management information systems (CMIS) Major at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and I want to transfer to Boulder. The problem here is that the tuition is like 25 grand, and i'm going to a really nice school in my home town for about 8 grand. I'm appreciative, but i really want to go out to colorado because i feel that it's a dead end if i stay here with the same people from highschool. Anyway, so my question would be does anybody know a way i can go to boulder for any cheaper? I'm not completely opposed to the thought of going to a community college for a year then getting in state tuition...Or if i go to boulder for another 3 years it would be 25 for the first year and then about 8 for the remainder, is that correct? I'm a little grey on the area in which they'll provide in-state vs. out-of-state tuition. I appreciate any feedback you all can give me, thank you!

I understand there is a way to become emancipated financially, and get instate tuition after a year. It will require some research. Quite a few kids from our area have done it. There is a guy you can hire who helps. Perhaps a google search will turn up his company.

If it were easy to do everyone would attempt this scam. I assume you would need to show residency by showing rental or home ownership, bills etc for over a year. You would probably need some income as well. If you are accepting any help from your parents you probably can’t be emancipated.
