@Gator88NE LOL Funny thing is that the dorms were so undesirabale back then that neither my husband or I ever lived on campus! At least my sorority house has been rebuilt and is probably one of the nicest ones they have in the country. The one advantage I did see with the UF dorms is that it seems like there is a “single” option in pretty much every dorm now. But no real photos/floor plans/virtual tours on the UF site…hmmmm…wonder why that is?
Well U of SC has their fair share of less desirable dorms as well. I think this is true on any college campus. McBryde and Bates West needs to be torn down and replaced. But when my daughter was there 4 years ago she was lucky to get Patterson.
@g8rmomk8ans @tif1972 What’s the concern regarding a lower OOS population for UF?
@shortnuke Just feeling like you’re the only OOS kid–my D prefers more of a mix of kids from all over.
Scholarships are on the portal now.
Where on the portal?
Scholarship notifications are up.
Yes! I got the exciting email but my dd is not home to log in!! I’m dying to know!
D got hers…Elite (formerly Cooper)! Happy girl here! Will be applying for others as well.
We got the same amount we were told about when he was accepted. Was hoping for more but we’ll apply for others as well.
I also got the Elite (Coopers). Good luck to all!
D ended up with Superlative (Flinn), which is what I thought she would get when she applied last September based on her stats. I’m pretty happy about the notification since her acceptance letter indicated she would get at least the Distinction Award (Woodrow). Getting the in-state tuition makes this a viable option for us.
@lastone03 how/where do u apply for others? Thanks!!
@momslastonetogo my son is applying for the scholarships established in his major.
@lastone03 how/where do u apply for others? Thanks!!
@momslastonetogo see the link above I posted at 10:31 am.
Sorry… the app had my question retyped and then my “thanks” lol
Appreciate the info…
S18’s merit offer went up from initial offer. They are making his decision tough!
Received the same amount as was initially indicated. It may not be enough. Does anyone know if they will negotiate?
