Do most people get the "Tuition Refund Plan?"

I declined it when I registered for classes, but now I am wondering if it is a good idea or not....

There was some discussion of this topic in an earlier thread.

I always decline it because I feel like the terms of the insurance are so narrow, and don't cover a lot of other reasons that you may drop out of school. http://www.collegerefund.com/usc/

The insurance would give you a full refund for the semester if you become seriously sick or injured. Does anyone know if USC issues partial refunds if you withdrawal mid-semester and are not covered by the insurance? I understand that some students pay tuition on a monthly basis to ease the financial burden. Would they be allowed to stop paying if they left school, or is there a clause that requires all payments to be made?

One other thing I've been wondering...The insurance covers your tuition if something happens to you. What happens if something happens to USC (i.e. major earthquake) that forces them to cancel the semester? Would students be issued refunds?

Thanks for the links, Ned5555. Helpful!

Yeah, I'd like to know the answers to your questions, too....
