Tuition Statements for Summer B students

Has anyone looked at their tuition statement? D has prepaid which wasn't showing initially, but now it is. But, the local fees portion ($28 per hour) isn't paid by prepaid and they are showing that as Student Payment and so the total due is zero. Does anyone else have this?

D is going to Criser Hall to speak to them about it, but I wanted to see if anyone had any idea on why we would not be billed for the local fees portion.

I only look at the gator parent link, and our fee was around $21.00. I have no idea what it was for, but I paid it. Did you have any credits owed to you (such as football lottery)? I can’t figure it out either, because the way it was explained to me, we would owe more in fees.

We already got the credit back on our credit card for the unsuccessful lottery pick. Your $21 sounds like they could be course fees. My D has $6 for those for Summer B, but those are showing paid too.

So it sounds like you’re not seeing the local fees either. Do you have prepaid also? Maybe they don’t charge the local fees until they validate that you don’t have them covered under your prepaid. The tuition statement will itemize the charges you are seeing though.

Yes, we have Fl Prepaid. You’re right, I have not seen the correct charges for local fees, either. We have received the overage charge for Hume for Fall already. I’m sure the other charges will catch up with us sometime in the near future!

Do you have prepaid alone, or prepaid also with local fees? If you have prepaid tuition alone without local fees, they might not bill you until they received confirmation from Prepaid that you indeed have to pay.

Sunnyflorida, we have Prepaid without local fees. That was my thought too. I’ll see when I talk to Financial Services. Seems D had to sign a release form for them to talk about finances with me, and she did that but in Financial Aid and not Services. FS said they won’t get the form until Monday even though the office was right next door.

Well for now, UF says I don’t owe anything. I’ll keep an eye on it though since fees are due the 10th.

We have FPP without local fees and my daughter is taking ONE class this summer. We had to pay $84.18 after FPP paided their allotment. Here is a copy of the page from her account:

Enrolled 03/30/2009 3.00 $356.85

Totals
Tuition Due Summer 2009 $356.85
Billed to Sponsor $-272.67
Student Payment $-84.18

To see this on your daughter’s account (assuming she has shared her ID and password with you) go to ISIS and click on the tuition statement in the left lower column. This will take you to a page where you put in her gatorlink username and password. After you login, her summer tuition statement should be there.

Seiclan, our statement looks just like yours, but we did NOT make the student payment as it shows, thus the balance is zero. If I attempt to make a payment, it says I have a zero balance.

Tuition Due Summer 2009 $600.75
Billed to Sponsor $-454.45
Student Payment $-146.30

Boy, I feel stupid now. I just figured this out. When we paid the $200 enrollment and tuition deposit, that put a credit on the account and is used for all fees owed for tuition and such until it’s gone. Nice not to have to pay anything this term. As though books aren’t enough.
