Tuition waiver for international students

Anyone has a list of states that grant tuition waiver for international students?

it can be merit based etc

Off the top of my head:

Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin

It goes without saying that not all universities in any given state will award tuition waivers.

Does UCs? or UT Austin give tuition waiver?

i checked their website … and they don’t give tuition waiver to international students

if anyone found anything else otherwise … post a link!!!

I don’t think any of the state flagship universities easily hand out tuition waivers. They get enough international applicants already! Tuition waivers are typically used as a recruitment tool by less attractive universities.

For example, in CA Cal State Fresno and SDSU used to have tuition waivers for international students the last time I checked (admittedly, a few years ago). You could check if they still have them. Several universities in Texas award automatic out-of-state tuition waivers to students who receive a scholarship of at least $1,000.

If you google international student tuition waiver site:.edu, you will get a fair amount of hits.
