Tuition stays the same every year after you are admitted, right?

No, it increases by apprx. 5% each year.

really? Can anyone else confirm this or find it on the website?

Search “tuition increase” or something…

tuition stays the same I believe. Fees change such as housing etc. so the cost goes up each year

Oh, okay, nevermind! I thought I read that it did…

Actually, Modulation, I just read an article that seemed to agree with you. Any current students? This actually makes a huge difference as I only have merit aid!

Well, it’s not going to increase a lot, and I’m only on merit aid as well.

by my quick calculations, even if it only increases by 6% a year that’s almost $2500 per year. That’s a lot to me!

Tuition used to increase less for current students. But that ended a couple of years ago. Now tuition is the same for incoming and current students. You need to figure the 5% or more increase every year into what you can afford. Tuition and room and board increased at slightly different amounts but it was average about 5%. DD’s merit award does not increase even though the tuition did. Check to see what yours says.

You can tell here. [Rice University | Tuition & Fees](http://www.students.rice.edu/students/Tuition_Fees.asp) where you can see each year increases and starting in 2007, the amounts are the same. .
Historical amounts are here:
