This may be a dumb question, I'm not sure...
I was accepted as a freshman to Tulane for this school year, but chose to attend Southwestern University instead. I'm not liking it, and I want to transfer - if I was accepted last year, I should be accepted again, right? I'm just worried that their standards may have raised, perhaps more kids are applying now that a year has passed since the hurricane, I'm really worried....

Also, how do Vanderbilt and Tulane compare in selectivity?

I've no clue what my current grades are, except I finished a short seminar class with a B+....

According to the most recent stats on College Board, Vanderbilt accepted 35% of freshman applicants, and Tulane accepted 44%. For transfers, Vanderbilt accepted 94/379 and Tulane accepted 629/1259. So, Vanderbilt is more selective, but the differences are not as dramatic as comparing, say, either of them to a Stanford (accepted 5% of transfers in recent years).

I think that there is a good chance you would be accepted to Tulane again if you were accepted as a freshman and you perform well at your current school. I have seen some stats on Tulane's post-Katrina acceptees and the SAT median was almost exactly the same as it was for the prior admissions year. So I don't think you need to worry that it will change dramatically for the coming year.

Thank you, Ecliptica. I had seen 2006 acceptance stats but didn't know where to retrieve them. Maybe you could post some data or a link? I'm never sure what year College Board's stats represent.
