Your stats are within the 25%-75% range for Tulane, so from that perspective you are certainly in the running. However, you must research the school thoroughly and express sufficient knowledge, interest and enthusiasm for it. This year the school deferred applicants with 35 ACTs and almost perfect SATs who did not convince the committee that they were likely to attend. When you apply you should note the school’s focus on interdisciplinary education, emphasis on undergraduate research opportunities, commitment to community service in New Orleans, and numerous opportunities for international experiences, among others. Best of luck to you!

Is that GPA weighted or unweighted?

A similar list has been compiled for this year’s EA applicants.

I think you will get in but I seriously doubt you will get merit. My son’s HS had 6 kids who go into Tulane. The only ones who got merit had SAT scores in the 2150 and above range. My son’s friend had a 2100 and a GPA higher than yours and he go zero.
