D1 got in off wait list today, one day after we processed enrollment deposit at Maryland (College Park Scholars program). Tulane was her dream school, but she fell out of love when they wait listed her. Now she’s reconsidering. Her big issue is whether going to school in someplace other than D.C. will harm her chances for a job in the public policy. She loved Maryland for the access to D.C. Internships, but she’s done two service projects in the Lower Ninth Ward and is hugely committed to Tulane’s public service mission. Such an agonizing choice for her…I wish there was something to break the tie!!

Maybe the opportunity to take a class from [Melissa Harris-Perry: Professor | Author | African-American | Intellectual](http://melissaharrisperry.com/) or [James Carville](http://tulane.edu/liberal-arts/political-science/james-carville.cfm) or http://murphy.tulane.edu/programs/public-policy/ where she can get this internship Judith Kelleher Schafer Summer Internship Grants | The Murphy Institute. Just a thought :)

Oh, and CONGRATS!!!
