I’m starting this thread not so we can all compare who had what stats, but so we can start to get to know each other. See who has things in common, maybe even talk roommates and stuff.
Accepted from Tennessee. Will likely attend. Looks forward to get to know each other!
I am from Texas. I will definitely accept.
Hey, wait did you guys apply for Tulane Early Action this year?
I was accepted from Texas and also got into the Honors program and I’m so so excited, especially since I was rejected from Vanderbilt last week. I would love to go to Tulane but even with a $30k scholarship per year I’m not sure my family can afford it…
Accepted from PA! Same here, it’s my first choice but I’m really hoping for the DHS or PTA…
Accepted from NY! I will probably attend Tulane, but I need to negotiate on my merit aid or get DHS/PTA to make it affordable.
@Archlover Tulane does not negotiate merit aid. Years ago they used to, but not anymore. You might be able to get need-based financial aid in addition to the merit aid but only if you qualify based on a review of your family’s financial documentation. Did you apply for financial aid? If you have a sibling(s) in college at the same time that you will be a freshman next year, then the financial aid office will take that into consideration in evaluating your family’s ability to pay.
Accepted from GA. Most likely will attend but need a lot of financial aid even with very high merit scholarships.
Is there like a Facebook group or something for accepted applicants?
@trackmbe3 That’s really disappointing. I have already unsuccessfully applied for financial aid. I’ll just have to hope for the best.
@Archlover Did you hear back already on your financial aid application? If so, that would be faster than usual. It typically takes 6 weeks for the financial aid office to review the financial documentation and make a determination. My D received her admission acceptance last year in early November, we submitted all financial documentation in mid December but didn’t receive a financial aid package until first week of February.
@Alicemh37 There is a Facebook group! It’s called Tulane University Class of 2022
