Tulane: could I get in?

I applied using the 'personalized application', but rushed through the application because of the deadline and I wasn't even going to apply if it weren't for the free app. Now that I've researched the school a little, I'm beginning to regret not spending more time on the application... any feedback?

I actually have two decent teacher recommends. Anyone wanna help me out…

I think you could easily get in with your stats, BUT because Tulane uses a free app, they receive MANY MANY MANY applications. Showing interest is key. I know in the past they have used an optional ‘Why Tulane’ essay. Did you choose to submit one? If not, it might help to write one now and send it to your admissions counselor to be added to your file.

I did submit one, im just worried that I didn’t show enough enthusiasm in it because of how brief it was. Also, I submitted the app before November 15th (the early action deadline) but I think I checked the regular decision box. Does this mean that I won’t hear back until April?
Thanks for the input :)

Anyone else who applied and was accepted/rejected thats willing to share their stats, opinions, etc.? Not just for Tulane, but for other similar schools as well.

@lydiacell, I’m not sure what they’ll do with your app. I applied EA and received notification about 3 weeks later, still far ahead of the deadline. It seems as if they have some weird type of rolling process. If you’re an outstanding student, I could see them offering you an acceptance now regardless of the regular vs early action decision choice. The issue is that they can only let so many people know at a time, and it usually happens that they have higher acceptance rates for early than regular decision processes. Regardless, I’d remain optimistic about it. Good luck!
