<p>I got an email today about an online chat with Tulane Admission Counselors tonight from 6PM until 8PM Central time. It was sent to my email, not DS, but seems to be for admitted students and their parents. </p>

<p>My husband got the e-mail but I didn’t. Since it was sent to his personal e-mail and he doesn’t check that until late at night (and I wasn’t on the CC board today), we didn’t find out about it until a few minutes ago. Was there anything interesting?</p>
<p>Frankly, from what I saw there wasn’t anything that was different from what we say here on CC. Which is actually nice to know that we get most, if not all of it right. I did learn the hockey team has to drive all the way to Baton Rouge to practice! I thought they had built a rink in the NOLA area, but maybe it closed and/or got destroyed in Katrina.</p>

<p>A few items:
Each year around 1000 students apply for 100 Deans Honor Scholarships.
Each year 500-800 students apply for 30 Community Service Scholarships.
The new residential dorm under construction will be for Juniors and Seniors.</p>
