@fnpony I know it is only anecdotal, but I was thinking the same thing. Also, I haven’t noticed anyone who applied test optional getting in, which my daughter did because she could never get a test date and wasn’t happier with her early test scores.
Edited to add~ I just looked at the letter and he was asked to send his first semester grades~ I sure hope these schools are sensitive to the kids who are forced to be fully remote and the impact it may have on grades~
OK I don’t see anything like that so I guess its safe to assume she did not get any merit offer. Such a bummer with a $77k price tag. The budgeting begins… Congrats to all who were accepted and to those who received merit! Wow!
My daughter was accepted. OOS. We haven’t toured in person yet, but did do interview, many virtual events including virtual tour. Offered Honors Scholars and $26,000/year.
Accepted, 23k merit, 3.79 GPA (all honors), 35 ACT, extensive community service ECs, visited in-person in February right before covid and did several virtual events. Applied for the Paul Tulane scholarship.
