@fnpony I know it is only anecdotal, but I was thinking the same thing. Also, I haven’t noticed anyone who applied test optional getting in, which my daughter did because she could never get a test date and wasn’t happier with her early test scores. :frowning:

Son was accepted w scholarship 14k per year.
1460 , lots of ECs, attended Tulane summer program virtually for credit. GPA 4.2

For the deferred, there was a notice on the website and they encourage ED2 applicants and are driving them to do this.

What a brutal process and I feel for all of you young students. So nerve wracking. You will all end up exactly where you are supposed to be.

Deferred
3.98, 35 ACT, 1480 8/497, Tulane essay, so-so ECs, interview, virtual event

Does anyone know approximately how many or what percent of deferred EA students are typically accepted?

It was in the admissions letter on Green Wave portal.

I scrolled down after the signature line and it said scholarship

It was right in the letter.

Edited to add~ I just looked at the letter and he was asked to send his first semester grades~ I sure hope these schools are sensitive to the kids who are forced to be fully remote and the impact it may have on grades~

OK I don’t see anything like that so I guess its safe to assume she did not get any merit offer. Such a bummer with a $77k price tag. The budgeting begins… Congrats to all who were accepted and to those who received merit! Wow!

No having seen the process last year there were some deferred students who got one of these scholarships. Not many, but it isn’t 0.

My daughter was accepted. OOS. We haven’t toured in person yet, but did do interview, many virtual events including virtual tour. Offered Honors Scholars and $26,000/year.
