Thank you, I appreciate the response. He really didn’t have an opportunity to get that kind of experience because of the pandemic. Good luck to you, hopefully you will get into the program.
Thank you! I’m such a nervous interviewee that I feel sick even thinking about it. Getting hours this year was incredibly tough so I feel for you and your son.
I’m sure you will do great! Do you know how many people got invited & how many got interviews? Just curious
He still decided to attend Tulane & hopefully he will have an easy time getting into med school
My D21 was invited to apply (she wants to do premed) but after a lot of thought, decided not to apply. It felt like too big of a commitment to make at this point in her life. Stats are similar to aloedust’s and lots of community service, including 150 hrs volunteering at a major teaching hospital (well before the pandemic).

No, just TPM, he did not want to do an accelerated program. He still wants to enjoy college!
I think he has got the point!
How binding is TPM? What if in my junior year of attending Tulane I wanted to switch careers or I applied to another med school and got accepted?
not sure the concrete number on either but rn 15 or 16 time slots have been filled on the days and times they’ve given us!
Is anyone here a National Merit Finalist?
I believe a lot people here are, even my D is not.
my daughter is…why?
Are there gonna be anymore rolling decisions for deferred EA?
A deferred one :).
I hear that Tulane starts sending out notifications related to National Merit scholarships sometime Mid-March. I know we’re not there yet, but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything?
Did you list them as your school thru NM?
That sounds tricky, if some has more than one top choices.
My daughter was last year. She received the 2K scholarship from NM. Tulane reduced her scholarship by that amount. It does not stack.
They reduced her scholarship? or her financial aid?
And…was her $$ from NM or from matching with Tulane as her #1?
