Hey @Harryp17, @purple05, and @laur2323, it def doesn’t mean you were deferred. I got the email on November 7 and was accepted EA one week later. I am rooting for you!
I received the email as well and I applied EA, I think it was just a generic mass email.
My son applied EA and got the email about ED II He did apply on November 8th and was planning to apply for the scholarship. Hopefully he will work on it over Thanksgiving. He has a 36 ACT and a 96.8 and 105.68 weighted GPA. We had visited during the summer.
I got the email too. Is it fair to assume that everyone who received the email will not be getting their decision tomorrow?
@saskey12 one of my friends was accepted last monday and still received the email. I believe it is fair to say that it was a mass, generic email. I don’t think it will have any affect on the timing of our decisions.
@saskey12 why wouldn’t we be getting decisions tommorow? I do not follow the logic… Agree that we shouldn’t look into the generic mass emails… trust in the process!
Sorry, this has probably already been covered. But where do we receive decisions? Is it through the online portal that we were given right after we submitted the app?
@ZBlue17 Yep, portal.
@chimley @saskey12 @Harryp17 @purple05 @laur2323 - the EDII email was sent to students who applied early. There are still Early Decision applications that have not been reviewed, so this doesn’t mean you are deferred. EDII provides an option for students who did not previously apply ED but now realize that they would like to apply ED.
In Short: receiving the EDII email does not mean you were deferred!
Is there anyone who has been accepted about two weeks after sending in their application? Mine was completed on the 9th - I’m not expecting a decision today, just wondering if it’s at all possible.
My D sent in her EA application on 10/29, got acceptance notification on 11/14. But, she has classmates who also applied EA, and they haven’t heard back yet. Not sure in what order (if any!) the applications are reviewed.
Has anyone in Mass gotten their acceptance? Just wondering because I don’t think I have seen any on this thread.
Anyone get an admission notification?
@marijke I applied ed, submitted 10/31, marked complete 11/1, and was accepted 11/14 so about 2 weeks
@NYCpls - thank you so much!
My daughters reply was really fast. Application in 10/26. Accepted ED 11/7.
We are in MA – my D got her acceptance on 11/14, as did a couple of her classmates. Others in her school are still waiting.
The university has a vested financial interest in accepting qualified ED applicants. I suspect this is why ED applicants are being accepted at a faster rate than those who applied EA.
Did anyone apply and all materials accepted by 10/10 and still waiting? Is it just assumed that if you applied so early after the 12/20 deadline of notification you will get a deferred/denied notification?
no mail today from Tulane
