Just curious how many of y’all chose to do the alumni interview. I’m wondering the significance (if any) that will have in our applications, especially because this is the first year.
Did anyone else get an emai from Tulane about a “chat with Tulane students”? on Dec 14?? Could this mean something or is it a generic thing they send to everyone (even people who haven’t applied)?

There seems to have been a halt in descions since the Thanksgiving release. I feel like we should be expecting another one in the next few days…just a guess.
Was the Thanksgiving release the last release of decisions?
@marijke I’m pretty sure yes. Because last Monday the only descions posted on the portal were the kids already accepted on Thanksgivng. And this Monday there was nothing.
@Foureyes66, when should we expect the next waves of admissions decisions for EA?
@IvyBred apparently they could be released any night now at 7pm CT. I have this weird feeling some may release this upcoming Friday. This is just going off last year but there was huge wave released the equalivant Friday of last year.
@IvyBred - no one actually knows. In all likelihood, it will be a decent amount of time from now according to someone who said they talked to an admissions counselor. I’d still check every night at 7pm central.
In looking at last year’s thread, on the 8th (which was a Tuesday, if that matters), there was a big wave of decisions (it was the first time people got the announcement of deferrals, but there were also acceptances), and there was I think one more time when the last batch was released.
Even though that clearly conflicts with the source of it being “a long way off”, I figured it seemed pertinent. To sum up, no one knows!
@Foureyes66, any indications? Also, how will I be notified that my decision has been made? I guess I better start preparing for the unexpected!!

My son’s college counselor told him that he would hear from Tulane on Monday.

Do you have any idea how the college counselor would know that? Just an honest question. I get it when college counselors know that a school is releasing on a specific day when every decision comes back that day, but it seems much harder to predict or notify when it’s Tulane-level sporadic, especially about who gets accepted when.
