@HazeInutorFootball When does financial aid come out
@gucci8 I also never got an email for Gibson, still haven’t logged in, I applied EA.
EDIT: Nevermind, I found my email and logged in.
@gucci8 I’m the same. EA but never got email for Gibson and it said no account existed when I tried to login to it.
I’m EA and just got my Gibson portal info today so it’s probably coming
I applied EA as well, but I got my Gibson portal info about a week after I submitted my application around October 28th.
The blog says the letters will be sent on Dec 17th but that is a Sunday…wouldn’t the letters be sent on the 15th of Dec? or a Monday?
I am confused – so if you did not apply for any financial aid you do not get a Gibson portal? It also says merit based would be there. Does that mean my son would not be considered for merit based since he never got portal information?
Your Gibson portal information should be on the right side of the screen when you log into your Green Wave portal
We did not receive an email about the Gibson portal either. My son applied EA in October. We did not apply for Financial Aid. And there’s no mention of the Gibson portal on the right side of his Green Wave portal.
Was wondering the same thing, @chappmom5. I’m guessing they mean the Monday, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I checked again – no Gibson portal.
@moncomom same thing for me I don’t have it but I didn’t apply for financial aid. Will we still be considered for merit money?
@shmurda that depends on when you applied. If you applied Early Decision, award notifications are expected to start the week of 12/4. If you applied EA or EDII then they expect to start notifying the week of 1/22/18. For RD, award notifications are expected to start the week of 3/5/18. Keep in mind though that those are just projected start dates, they are not set in stone and not all financial aid decisions will be released at the same time, it’s done on a somewhat rolling basis
I didn’t apply for aid and I go no Gibson Portal info (EA), so assuming that’s the reason!
Gibson is the system used by the Office of Financial Aid. Students applying for need-based financial aid get that Gibson communication when their need-based financial aid documents come in to the Office of Financial Aid. It is very much not linked to merit-scholarships. It can take a little time for this to happen, so if you have submitted the FAFSA and CSS Profile and have not gotten a Gibson login yet, don’t stress!
Hope you get in
Pretty sure its on the website, by January 15th. https://admission.tulane.edu/apply/status
@akasi777… " This year, we’re completely shifting to a single release date for both EA and ED. ED letters will leave the Office of Admission on November 27th. EA letters will head out on December 17th. Green Wave portals will be updated a few days after letters are mailed out. No need to keep checking the mailbox or portal until then. Hopefully, knowing exactly when you’ll hear back will reduce anxiety a little bit.
