Tulane ED/EA Admissions Decisions

Hey I didn’t see one of these discussions so I thought I would start one. Last year they started releasing decisions around this time so post here your results and stats here when your decision is released.

I heard that this year they will be releasing acceptances twice during the early round. Not as frequently as in past years.

They came out the Monday by the very end of October last year. I became so nervous and anxious rn by waiting for the decision.

I applied ED and I’m so nervous to find out!

It sounds like there will be one announcement in December, and one in January.

Jym626, Where did you hear this from? I’m really hoping to hear back this week…

All ED applicants should get a decision by Dec 15

Because they haven’t released when decisions are coming out (like dates of release and stuff) I’m so nervous. I’ve been so anxious the past couple weeks cause I applied ED.

Maggie, it comes from the staff at Tulane.

Just to follow up on one of my previous posts:

There will be 1-2 decision release dates for EA and ED. Seems like Tulane is using this method in order to reduce the ‘constant portal checking’ that causes unneeded stress. I am assuming Jeff’s Blog will be the best spot to find these release dates (according to the answer I got from admissions).

Guessing Tulane will probably offer EDII again this year. I know Tulane did this last year and it was a great way for EA applicants to boost their chances, especially if they get a ‘no’ from their EDI app at other schools.

I hope this information is helpful and reduces some of the inevitable stress that comes from the college admission process. Always happy to help - reply or message me!

To add to nostalgicNOLA’s post, Jeff is Jeff Schiffman - director of admissions. To find his blog (which is very informative and fun) google Tulane Jeff. Here is the link: http://tuadmissionjeff.blogspot.com/

So after reading the chat that Tulane had with admissions counselors last night it seems that ED decisions will be released around Nov 27-30 and EA decisions will be released Dec 17-20. It seems like this year they are releasing all the ED on one day and all the EA on one day opposed to the rolling system last year…

To add to the above post - last night the chat said that they would be mailed out on November 27th, and your portal would be updated November 30th, so depending on your proximity to New Orleans, you might get the letter or have to wait until the 30th first.

For those looking for Jeff’s Blog with the official confirmation on decision dates:

My son applied EA - we live in the Northeast but will be in NOLA Dec 17-20 for a family visit and the Saints game! It would be great if he can find out online - might want to go see campus again if it’s a yes.

Do you think it’ll be safe to assume that for the EA release the portal will update the 20th?

Yes, I do believe that the EA portal will update the 20th because thats what they said on the online chat session. @Maggiepl09 I would call Tulane on December 17 and let them know you will be in town and maybe they can let you know then so you can visit. @CA1543

Hey guys! I applied to Tulane a few days ago. Anyways, so I checked my Gibson account for financial aid and under my to-do list it says that the 3 forms they want are “established and requested.” What does this mean? I sent in all of the forms but I hope this doesn’t mean anything is missing?

I did not apply for financial aid so I have no idea. I would email your admissions counselor or ask your college counselor if you have one.

Tulane is need-blind, so the admissions office has no interaction with financial aid forms. You could reach out the financial aid office and ask them what “established and requested” means
