Tulane ED II Class of 2023

@zgreen247 Did the people that received updates around January 10th have high stats? I am wondering if it is based off of stats, or whoever submitted their ED2 applications first

@blazinamazin2023 depends what you consider to be low, I saw that a girl with 29 ACT and 1350 SAT + 3.7 GPA was admitted EDII along with a few others but I also saw one who had a 33 ACT and near perfect GPA. It’s hard to tell, but by the looks of it they don’t seem to be basing off of stats although I could be wrong, I would hope it’s not.

@zgreen247 Got it. I was just wondering about how decisions would be staggered if they did release them earlier. Do you think they would be random, or based off of when you submitted your ED2 application?

@blazinamazin2023 logically I would think it would be based off when you submit it, atleast I’m hoping that is what it is since I sent mine in fairly early as well. I don’t think there’s a true way to really know how they do it but I’m so curious too! Do you by any chance know an estimate of the acceptance rate for EDII?

@zgreen247 I asked the same question earlier and seem to have gotten responses here. It appears that EDII statistics are mixed in with ED statistics on the college data set: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/21827089/#Comment_21827089

@zgreen247 I saw your post earlier btw, and I think you have a good chance of getting in for ED2. Best of luck! I am still debating whether or not to apply for ED2 only because I am not sure about financial aid.

@blazinamazin2023 Oh thank you so much, I really hope you’re right! I’ve heard that Tulane isn’t a school that’s stingy with their financial aid so I’m sure they’ll give you some in any area that you qualify for. I always encourage people to apply ED/EDII if they know for a fact that the school is their top choice because you know you’ll be happy there in the end and it might be worth the risk. Of course, all personal preference though. Best of luck to you as well!

Just switched my application to ED 2 after many long, hard, days of considering what I wanted to do. I’m very excited but also extremely nervous!!

Hi there! I switched to ED 2 with a gpa of 4.15 and an ACT super score of 28 and have toured. What do you think my chances are like? @latte12

@ehappy24 Tulane does not superscore the ACT. What was your ACT composite not superscored?

Has anyone else’s Gibson portal been updated? Just checked mine to see a financial aid offer for both semesters in the overview section and a terms and conditions requirement in my to do list even though I haven’t been given a decision yet, does this mean anything?

@zgreen247 yep, mine was too. Got an email saying my financial aid award was available, and nothing came up on the portal.

@bellrossi what do you think this means? do they do this for everyone or is it a good sign?

@zgreen247 i’m guessing it’s normal? a few of my friends who applied for financial aid said they got a similar email and update with ED1 but not before admission decisions came out. must be some kind of mistake, but also could be a good sign. I called the office and ED2 decisions are 100% coming on Monday 1/14.

WAIT WHAT THEY ARE COMING OUT TOMORROW?

if mine didnt update should i just expect not to get accepted?

@yoelijah are you talking about the update on gibson?

yes. Nowhere on anything. of my portal for financial aid or my application portal has an update lol. it just looks the same @zgreen247

@yoelijah dont jump to conclusions yet, it may update at any point in the day + remember they have thousands of students to get through and most likely cant update everyones gibson before decisions are out. who knows, the update may not even mean we got accepted!

i hope so… when did u apply btw? i wonder if they are doing it by who applied earliest?
