My friend applied last year as a transfer and got her transfer decision Thursday March 11th. She said the majority of transfer applicants get accepted if they applied for the early transfer decision, which this year the deadline was February 1st. She also said people who applied regular decision, there is more rejections. Hope this helps!
Mardi Gras was yesterday. I would be stunned if Tulane’s admissions office released any results tomorrow.
Yup prob next week! It’s ok guys, we only have 7 days! It’ll fly by
Where are you guys transferring from? Or trying to transfer from?
Westchester Community College in NY
Last year’s transfer posts had way more views and interactions, could it be that fewer people are applying this year?
I think it’s possible that the transfer cycle is going to be less competitive this year. Just a theory I have no numbers to back this up. But I think last year a lot of people were unhappy with their current institutions because of covid and everything sucked and now that things are more “normal” and college is now more fun again less people are trying to jump ship. Idk if that’s true tho.
I agree with you on that.
Hopefully it means good news for us for Tulane and for every other school we’ve applied for!
What other colleges did everyone apply to as a transfer?
I applied to Boston University.
Yeah! Ok, not only are there probably less applicants this year, but let’s be real — a lot of people probably transferred out of Tulane last year because of COVID experiences, so I’m sure there are also more open spots than ever. Anyone else agree/disagree??
Are you guys Class of 2025 too??
I agree. I know Tulane was requiring students to be vaccinated Fall 2021, so I could see people transferring out.
Nice. I applied to UNC, UVA, Vandy, UF, UMiami, Virginia Tech, NC State, COFC, SMU, and Elon. I went a little overboard with applications lol.
Nice! Hey that’s a good thing!! More options! Where are you transferring from?
Yeah that’s true! Westchester Community College, it’s in NY. Hbu?
I applied to to umich (accepted in February), BU, UF, FSU and URochester. I was going to apply to UNC and UVA but after getting into umich I decided not to
Completely agree!
