Hi, I am new to this forum but was looking for some advice. I have recently been awarded the four year Naval ROTC scholarship which will cover full tuition to the school I use it at. However, I am having difficulty deciding where I should go to school. For the longest time Auburn University has been my first choice but recently I have started to consider Tulane as well. Both schools have their advantages but I think the education and prestige Tulane offers makes going there tuition free an opportunity that is hard to turn down. I plan to major in some type of engineering but I may decide to switch later. I would appreciate any input on this. Thanks!
Since you have a scholarship, it looks like you have an active duty requirement. Because of this, I don’t it matters where you go. This is especially true if you stay in engineering. Go where you like, prestige is the wrong reason to pick a school. Any employer after your active duty will care about what you did in the service not the prestige of your college.
Thank you so much for the advice!
