Hi everyone! I'm an international studen from ecuador and i want to study Architecture in the US. I have been admitted to Tulane and i was given financial aid for only 15,000. Tulane has always been my top choice in my list but it is very exoensive even with the aid I was given. I was also admitted into Miami University in ohio and i was given 20,000 per year, and since it is a less expensive university that covers half of my expenses. I am not really sure if miami U's architecture program is well known and i know it's the 4+2 path while at TU i'll get an MArch in 5 years. can anyone please tell me if Tulane's program is worth its price?
any info on the architecture probgram at TU is welcome!

i was also admitted to:
Pratt (no money)
phila U
SCAD
Wentworth

Thanks for your help!

The Tulane architecture program is awesome. They are really involved in rebuilding New Orleans, the Dean is very dynamic, and it is a program definitely on the way up. I don’t know much about Miami’s program. But if Miami takes 6 years, that will negate a lot of the savings I would think.

i am an architecture student at TU and i love it and i think it is a great program. I could go on and on talking about it. anyway, i looked into some 4+2 arch. programs when i was looking at schools. one of the reasons why i decided to attend tulane (and the 5 year program) was not the time saving per se, but the fact that a 5 year program allows you to be much more immersed and surrounded by architecture constantly. This really appealed to me. I generally found (but you would probably have to look into it for the specific school) that the 4+2 degree was essentially getting a general liberal arts degree and then 2 years of an arch. intensive program.
