I know other people have this dilemma? Which should I choose?

Tulane! Both cities are fantastic but Miami is more expensive. If you want more southern livin’ come to Tulane but if the latin cuban type draws you then head to Miami.

I would say both schools are highly respected with a small nudge to Tulane >:]

Agreed. Tulane has a higher academic average student, and also has about half the number of undergraduates. I would have to think that translates into smaller class sizes, which is nice. But in many ways they are similar schools.

So many people seem to be deciding between these schools. Everyone I have spoken to (including my future roommate) has chosen Tulane. Since they are, for the most part, relatively similiar academically, it seems most people preferred NOLA and the whole feel of Tulane over Miami.

Hey gabby. I just noticed you mentioned your future roommate. Have committed students already begun to find roommates? I think I have yet to wait for my RoommateClick login password to arrive at my email box.

Miami. Big time sports, better climate, beautiful women, etc., etc.

Hey Allan, Yes, many of us are finding roommates already. Many have found them through the facebook Tulane 2014 group. We started talking on facebook, then met at a local Tulane reception. After spending quite a lot of time with her during honors weekend we decided to be roommates. If you go on facebook, I would recommend you looking into that group. It’s a great way to meet potential roommates/friends. About 25 of us NY/NJ people arranged to all meet up in the city last month and had a really great time.

Hey Gabby, do you know if there are any plans for the NY/NJ class of 2014 to get together again?

Yes, there is one in the works now. Add me on Facebook and I’ll send you the invite. I’ll pm you with my name.
