Tulane Quick Application, Is it a real thing?

I sent my ACT scores(32&33) to Tulane, visited and expressed interest. I was sent this email in May.

Dear ****,

I know you already have plenty to think about this summer, but I want to be sure you start considering your college plans soon, because I'll be inviting you to apply to Tulane University this fall!

I'm giving you an early notice now so you'll have plenty of time to learn more about Tulane. I want you to explore our renowned academic offerings; get a feel for the friendly and energetic community atmosphere; and embrace the unique and vibrant flavor of our New Orleans campus.

You know the best way to do all of that? Join us for a Campus Preview Day this fall! This is an event for prospective students and their families that offers a comprehensive overview of the Tulane Experience. You'll get a tour of our campus, speak with current students, faculty and admission staff, and even have the opportunity to sit in on a live class!

I look forward to seeing your application at the start of senior year, ****. Enjoy your summer!

Sincerely,

Does anyone know if this is a real thing? Like a "quick application" or its the regular one online, and I wont be sent anything special. Just wondering if I should start the online application for early action or wait for this thing.

Thanks for any help!

Tulane sent my S a free application in late August.

Yes, Tulane is known for sending personal invitations with the easy (free) application. Unless something has changed. all of Tulane’s applications are free. You will still need to write essays and definitely complete the “Why Tulane” essay.

Tulane’s application is free for everyone. [url=<a href=“http://admission.tulane.edu/apply/index.php]Tulane”>Apply to Tulane | Undergraduate Admission]Tulane Admission: Apply Now/url.
There are two parts: Part 1 is composed of basic demographic information. Fill it out and submit (Tulane will now start a “file” on you and email you a confirmation and new log in information)
Part 2 is the rest of the application (Activities resume, Grades, Test scores and essays) There are two essays- a Personal Statement and the “Why Tulane?” essay. Do both. “Why Tulane” says that it is optional, but you Must do it! Part 2 is more involved than part 1 and you can save your work and do it in multiple sittings. Good luck!
