50 Tulane University

New Orleans, LA

Tulane University was established in 1834 as a private institution. Tulane University follows a semester-based academic calendar and its admissions are considered most selective.

Yes, as nearly as I can tell, if Tulane’s graduation rates had a 6 year average reflecting what they are today, it would rank in the low to mid 30’s. It makes that much of a difference, given their formula. If you believe in these rankings, that is, which no one should.

FallenChemist: That is great to hear. Do you or anyone else know what each of the next four years would look like if the 6 year rolling average was 89% for each of the next four years (in essence, the progression from a ranking of 50 to the low to mid 30’s for 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016)? I realize that it would be an estimate, but it would be interesting to see. Thanks!

One cannot say because one would need to know how the other universities performed. But if everything else was static, one could do the calculations. I’ll have to think about how to best do it.
