TULANE RD 2021

Hey, everyone! I wanted to start a thread about Tulane RD. I hear from some people that Tulane is a rolling admissions school! Please post stats and info and if you have heard anything about RD decisions!

Tulane is not a rolling admissions school.

I also applied RD! What are your stats? @rockyc

ACT 29 (ENG: 33, Reading 30, Math 28, Science 26)

Class rank 41/286 - Although this is low, I go to one of the top public schools in all of NY so my entire building is filled with very competitive and intelligent people.

Overall average (my school doesn’t do GPA): 96.06

I will graduate with many Honors level courses and 7 AP credits.

Will graduate with several honors including merit, service, and NHS, etc.

I didn’t include everything here so let me know if you want to know something else.

@rockyc Cool! When did you apply?
Here are my stats:
SAT 1490 (790 M)
GPA 4.3734
Rank 9/364
20+ AP and honors classes
Do you think I can get in?

@KG5APR and @rockyc Have you shown interest in attending Tulane? Did you complete the “optional” Why Tulane? essay? Why are you applying during the RD round? It’s important to express your genuine interest in Tulane.

Yes I completed several essays and showed a large intrest. Also @KG5APR I think you will be 100% fine!

I just got in!!
My stats:
ACT: 31 (32 English, 31 Math, 29 Reading, 30 Science)
GPA: 84/100 (Really hard school. A guy passed to Princeton with an 89)
SAT II: 720 Math 2, 700 Math 1
Rank: 18/60
6 AP classes (couldn’t take more because of school’s graduation requirements)
Good EC, recommendation letters, and essays.
International student from Colombia
I hope this helps. Good luck!!

@Internl23 did you apply RD?

@rockyc Yes

I’m a bit confused. I applied to Tulane RD sometime around late December and I’ve already heard back. So I guess Tulane is rolling? I don’t think it’s a mistake because I’ve gotten both the email and letter.

I’m a US student btw. Depending on when you applied, you guys might hear back soon too!

I applied RD in October. Have not heard back. How do you see admissions decisions?

I just saw it on my portal

@huijin246 on Gibson? What portal do you mean?

@Internl23, where did you receive your decision?

it was the undergraduate portal, it was just the one they emailed to me when I applied

@Ceciliaagnes I got an email that said there had been an update in my application status with a link to the portal.

I was accepted into the architecture school btw

GPA: 4.025 w (school doesn’t uw)
SAT (old): 2150
8 APs (nothing below 4 on the test) + ton of honors classes

I think my “why tulane” essay is what got me in. I focused a lot of the architecture school and the community service it provides to New Orleans

Congratulations to you both!!!
