Tulane Regular Decision..chance please.!

I am Valedictorian of my public high school. 4.0 unweighted gap. I have a lot of extracurriculars and community service. My act score is a 24. I feel like the only thing weighing my application down is my act score. Should I apply elsewhere?

You should really try to take the ACT again. Or you could take the SAT?

I agree with collegehopeful, although time is short. But even if you take it in January, while they won’t get the scores before the app deadline, they will get them in time for RD.

There can be many reasons a person’s test score is much lower than their GPA would indicate. Do you have a disability that affects you in the environment of a timed test, but not in the classroom situation so much? Or is English not your native language? These are two of a dozen or so reasons this kind of otherwise unusual result can occur. If this is the case, make sure Tulane knows about it.

Your GPA is good. I’m sure your ACT isn’t the lowest Tulane has admitted, but it’s still a bit of a headscratcher for someone with such good grades. Retake it if you can.
