Does anyone know when in January the invitations for the Tulane Top Scholars Weekend are sent out, and/or the qualifications for being invited? On the Tulane website, it says, “Top Scholars Weekend is by invitation only. Invitations are mailed in January.”
I was accepted EA with a $27K/yr. scholarship and invitation to the Honors Program, but I know that there is the Tulane Honors Weekend on March 11 & 12 or March 18 & 19, too.
Any info from past applicants to Tulane or anyone with any knowledge of Top Scholars Weekend would be helpful!
My daughter is a freshman in the Honors Program. I believe Top Scholars and Honors Weekend are the same thing as my daughter’s invitation last year did say “Top Scholars Weekend.” We went in March last year and it was wonderful. Tulane had been a “probably not, too far away” until then. She ended up picking Tulane over what had been her first choice school until that weekend.
I signed up without it. The admission letter said to look for sign ups on green wave portal. I was actually on there looking for something else and saw the link and signed up.
@EDHDAD@dogspaniel@pantha33m The Honors weekends are on March 11 & 12 and March 18 & 19 (per my letter of admission), while the Top Scholars weekend is listed as being on March 5 & 6 and March 19 & 20 (link below). This leads me to believe that the weekends are separate.
My daughter looked on the Green Wave Portal for the Honors weekend info today and we couldn’t find it. (In fact couldn’t find anything lol - nothing accept you’re admitted, accept or decline ie nothing about her 30k merit aid offer, the Honors College or the Honors weekend. Good job we’ve got the letter:).
Where exactly are you seeing the link for the Honors weekend? (That’s her spring break week and she needs to do the second weekend as she already had plan to be away the first weekend.)
Go to the Gibson portal. The merit scholarship shows up on the Gibson portal under financial aid. Under admitted students you can register for on campus programs. The greenwave portal is pretty much just for admissions. You also accept the merit scholarship on the Gibson portal if you decide to enroll.
