Furman
College of Charleston

Thanks!

i would suggest taking the sat again, or maybe even taking the act to see if you do better on that, i sucked majorly on the sat and did much better on my act haha. but anyways you’re definitely in northeastern, unc chance because of resident, and tulane you should have a good shot if you raise your test scores. please chance me back i want to go to tulane too!!

yeah i thought about taking the act too but im worried cause science isnt exactly my strongest subject and no one i know has taken it so im afraid that it would end up being equally as bad or worse cause i dont know what to expect

but i will definatly take that into consideration thanks!
anyone else?

science isn’t really my thing either, but it’s more of a reading comprehension section dealing with science… it won’t hurt to try!

Tulane, UNC, Richmond, and maybe even Northeastern are all reaches (the first 2 especially), with your current test scores. Absolutely take the SAT again. It can’t hurt anything.

You probably will get into Northeastern and College of Charleston, but you should consider retaking the SAT, in order to get over 2000.
Tulane is a far stretch with your SAT, so I would look to improve it. I’m not quite sure about financial aid, but it is most likely need-blind, or it shouldn’t affect you too much.

thanks and i didnt realize that my sat score was so bad :frowning: i mean i knew that it wasnt ivy league material but of all the research if done my score seems to be just about average is it because everything else is kinda average too? or is because i have to factor in athletes and other hooks?

Your SAT scores are essentially average, but UNC and Tulane are super competitive schools. Certainly nothing to feel too bad about (unless you were planning on going to an Ivy…), but if you want a real shot at getting into Tulane and UNC Chapel Hill, you’re gonna need to get it up a substantial amount. Check out the incoming freshman profile of those two places. It’s tough to get in.

yeah im gonna plan to take the sat and maybe the act in the fall next year but what about my other stats does my gpa and ecs look decent? i didnt list all my ecs but the ones that i was most passionate about cause no ones gonna read a laundry list anyways

bumppp anyone? also if i cant get my sat higher does anyone have any suggestions for schools that might be more attainable? ive done a lot of research but i dont have a good feel for what schools would be target for me

just realised i left off boston university from my list… what do people think of my chances here? thanks

definitely retake your SATs if you can.
your GPA is very good  for Tulane so I would think that you could get financial aid if you got your SAT scores up
overall I think that Tulane is a definite possibility if you were to get the SAT grades up

tulane is easy to get into… you are fine

25% accepted.

Not easy.
