Hey Everyone! Today was the date that all the ED applicants discovered if they have been accepted, deferred, or rejected from Tulane University. Could those who have opened their admissions decisions share their scores, merit aid awarded, extracricuulars, and hooks regardless of fate?
Hi!! I just got in. 3.7 UW GPA with a very strong upwards trend from freshman year. 6 APS and advanced classes. Super strong ECs. 1490 SAT. Why Tulane essay was average I think but I showed tons of demonstrated interest. Hope this helps! Roll wave!
Accepted! White female from the Northeast.
GPA: 3.1 UW, 3.9 W
SAT: 1390
ACT: 31
Why Tulane Essay: I’d like to say 8 or 9/10? I put a lot of thought into it and explained how this college can support my indecisiveness on what to major in.
Activities Essay: 9 or 10/10.
General Essay: 10/10. I spent MONTHS on it and it turned out really nice.
I didn’t see my recommendations and I don’t have any hooks.
My ECs were pretty strong. Student council, one varsity sport, president of one club, eight first-place awards in various science competitions, and a member of lots of other clubs.
How do you check to see if you received merit aid?
My S was accepted! ACT 30, UW 3.6, good rigor, visited campus and interviewed with admissions rep. No hooks. Decent but not overwhelming ECs, very good essay.
D was accepted ED. West Coast, SAT 1520, GPA 3.98, good EC’s and several AP classes. I think that her visit/ stay on campus, taking a summer scholars class last summer and attending Tulane events in our area all helped her application. She was also in contact with her admissions rep and felt her alumni interview went really well. Good luck to everyone and hope for the best!
Just got my offer!
