I’m in the same position, didn’t do very well in high school. I’m hoping my high school grades will be overlooked by my college GPA which shows growth and capability. I’m almost at the end of my first semester of college, applying for fall 2021. When do you plan on submitting your application?
@coopandrews2 @piper2566 hey guys, i was recently accepted as a transfer to Tulane for this spring and I had super mediocre grades in high school (my HS didn’t do gpa, but I graduated with like a C+ average lol) so as long as you have a solid GPA in college you should be fine. i’m transferring with about three semesters done, and currently have a 3.87. good luck!
Thank you so much for sharing! That gives me hope…lol. And congrats!!
hey!! i just got accepted spring 2021 and i want to enroll but my only setback is that im an incoming sophomore and i don’t know people! lmk if anyone wants to get in contact, id love to meet other spring transfers
@jyoung12 congrats!! i’m a sophomore too, but i’m already enrolled lol lmk if u decide to enroll because i don’t really know anyone either
when did you submit your application? @jyoung12
Thank you for the encouragement! Just wondering, do transfers receive much in the way of scholarships and aid? Thanks!
@coopandrews2 I didn’t apply for FA, so I’m not too sure about that but they did give me a pretty solid merit scholarship which was a really nice and unexpected surprise. Although one of my good friends who goes to the same school as me right now also applied to Tulane for this spring, and they didn’t give him either aid or a merit scholarship, and we both have pretty similar GPAs for both college and high school, so I’m not sure what Tulane’s deal is about that
I enrolled! We should get in touch
@jyoung12 congrats!! we definitely should, but i have no idea how to dm you on this or if that’s even a thing lol
