Tulane University Waitlists- Class of 2018

Anything anyone? Nothing here in California.

My son emailed his counselor today to say that he remains highly interested and she had an auto reply on her email that said she won’t be in the office until tomorrow. We put our deposit at his second choice. I also called the admissions office and asked if they planned on opening the waitlist and the said “maybe”. They would t know until they went through all of the acceptances. That could be two weeks or so…

Lynjobes. Is your son/daughter sending emails letting the counselor know interest is high?

did the waitlist at Tulane open up?

I called, Tulane waitlist has not opened up

Any indication of a timeframe or if they were even going to use the list this year or just a general “not yet”.

I spoke to the admission office this morning and they said no one has been admitted off the waitlist yet and they don’t have any information at this time about admissions from the waitlist. They will know closer to June.

This was on the front page of the Boston Globe yesterday, thought it was interesting

<a href=“Many applicants bide time on colleges’ wait lists - The Boston Globe”>Many applicants bide time on colleges’ wait lists - The Boston Globe;

well, another week begins

Does anyone know how many students are on Tulane’s waitlist this year?

I don’t think they ever announce that at this stage. It will be reported in the next CDS, and maybe elsewhere later.

Any idea if they will even go to the waitlist? They should have an idea of their yield by now I would think…

any news?

Nothing via U.S. mail or email or portal here in California.

how do you access the Gibson site to find out status?

theres a student number and password that was emailed to the students.

any news??

Today the student Intern told me over the phone that now would be a good time to have your student mentally commit to the school he is physically committed to. Not looking good I think.
@Fallenchemist could they really over correct last years enrollment issue so drastically that there are NO spots available?

@Conniesdaughter‌ - Yes, they certainly could, but I don’t think that is what is happening. From the couple of hints I have seen, I think this year’s class might be a fairly sizable one again. So it might be as simple as them not needing to pull from the wait list, or at least very few. It shouldn’t be too long before they announce the enrollment as of May 1, then we wait and see how many melt away over the summer.

“melt away over the summer” is an interesting term. however, by then the students have made their pllans
