Match-High Match
You should be able to get in. I got in with similar stats

Make sure you visit, show interest, and put effort into your application. I was WL with much average than higher stats (honestly it wasn’t near the top of my list) As a result, I probably didn’t put as much effort in the application as they would have liked, and I didn’t go. Also take advantage of their free application so you don’t have to pay an application fee. Good luck

Thank you both so much. Tulane is my first choice. I “met” them at a local college fair near the end of my sophomore year. I have been in contact with the admissions rep from my area since then, and have a ticket to visit at the end of August. Thank you- your encouraging words have made me so much more excited about this school.

Maybe FC can chime on this, but you could expect $10-20k in merit aid (and maintain 2.7-3.0+ once at Tulane to keep it)…

Tulane: Match/high match

And don’t forget the “Why Tulane” essay.

Your unweighted GPA is higher than my son’s; your ACT is the same. He had stronger ECs, but they might not have been as interesting as yours (ie. combination of dance and science is unusual). He got in, but received no merit aid. I encountered people on CC who received merit awards with stats that weren’t much higher than my son’s. I’d say that Tulane’s a match for academic admission; a high-match/low reach for meaningful scholarship funds.
