Tulane, Usc, G'town, Notre Dame, Emory, Baylor

I was accepted into several universities out of high school but decided to attend a CC for financial reasons and to clear my mind. I wasn't sure if I wanted to fork out 20k a year for a college I may or may not enjoy and as the first in my family to go to college I started the process very late in the year, leaving me with little time to actually search for good colleges.

It's tough to rank schools against each other. Knowing your major makes things a bit easier but for the most part:

NYU/USC
BU/Tulane/UMiami
Baylor

Thanks, any more replies would be great!

Tulane was waving basically EVERYTHING for transfers this year. No fee, no essay, even repeatedly extending the deadline. I hope they're still doing the fee waiver next year.

Gatoca- Is that because their class of 2010 was so small? So does that mean that they will probably be very generous with transfers and it will be easy to get in and get a lot of money?

yea i am on the same boat as you with the stats (GPA and such) and im doing the more "risk" schools...ND is actually my number one pick for tranfering too...hopefully they can look at us and take a chance :)

What are your college stats? What college are you at?

...............

................

okay sorry for the long pause...but im looking at ND, boston college (both would be reaches for me, but have a better chance at ND since i was waitlisted there and they happened not to take anybody off the waitlist that year), santa clara U, san diego (which i think i have a good chance to get into both)...but my stats are 3.59 for the first quarter in college (im hoping to raise it by the end of this quarter) and my high school stats were much better 3.89, 1990 SAT, buttloads of activities, leadership, community service, and work...
how are you going about this whole transfer applying thing?
have you contacted any of the transfer advisors? (im going to be visiting ND and BC during my spring break and make an appointment just so that my name is recognizable in the stack)...
