Tulane v Wisconsin

I visited Tulane last week, it seems right for me, a NYC kid who is pretty smart but not the most hard working. Beautiful campus, nice kids, diverse programs, amazing President and NO is great city but hurting. But who will be in class of 2010? Seems many will be scared away. Madison seems like the safer choice with less rich kids, but maybe not as exciting. Any thoughts?

I am from Long Island and I have the same concerns about people being scared away but I am choosing to take a risk in Tulane and I think that Tulane has opportunities for the class of 2010 that no other university can match

Agreed, it does seems to be the most happening of schools, hope others feel the same and will attend too. Thanks

I'm taking the same risk JB

1 party school isnt exciting enough for you?

No risk only possibilities

im am a Long Island kid, and i was making this choice tulane v. wisconsin-madison. I chose tulane and am proud to be a member of the class of 2010. i am talking to plenty of kids from the area who are going to tulane next fall, and they expect about 1400 kids for the class of 2010, which is average, so dont be discouraged. if you wanna talk tulane im me on AIM: "z4stringaxe"

Tulane and UW are so absolutely different as to be apples and oranges. No mention of what you want to study, so no one can offer advice on that front. I'd say that if you've visited both, just go by which feels best to you.
