Hi guys. I recently got into Tulane EA but have been considering Richmond as one of my top choices as well. I am interested in studying business, joining a fraternity and just having an all around great time. I like to go out and am a very social person but I also am considering if the distractions in NOLA will be TOO distracting for me. Experience (internships/networking) is very important to me as well. Any input about either of the schools would be greatly appreciated (the business programs, the people, social life, post college opportunities etc). Thanks!!
Hey! I go to tulane and got into both urich and tulane back in the day. I think tulane has a really great work life balance and it is kinda who you associate with–find the right people. also tulane has great ny alum network and awesome altman buisness program. I facetime with great alums all the time-just got off the phone with a vp at jp morgan yesterday! I felt richmond was too isolated for me and wanted to be in a city. hope that helps
Tulane University is not located in the French Quarter and there are no dorms on Bourbon St. It’s a hassle (and $$$ Uber) to visit Bourbon St, especially on the weekend. Bigger NOLA attractions for TU students include museums, festivals, parks, and nearby walking districts and coffee shops.
tulanegirl1998, my daughter will be interviewing for Altman…we are all so excited. Message me with any advice. This program is absolutely fantastic!
