Did anybody see this picture today (I hope it posts correctly). How cool is this? Dr. Allen Toussaint, Dr. Dalai Lama and Dr. Dr. John!

I watched part of it via the live stream, but then it froze on me. Probably a buffer overload problem on my end. Anyway, there certainly is no graduation ceremony like Tulane’s! Here’s the Dalai Lama with a traditional second line umbrella.
My D attended the graduation since a very large number of her friends were graduating. This would have been her normal graduation year, but she is staying another semester at least (As you faithful readers know, she has a year left on her DHS since the Chinese government paid for her year abroad in Beijing). She said the Wave Goodbye party Friday evening was very nice. Where else can you get BBQ oysters, crawfish and jambalaya as part of your graduation f

My D is an RA and required to stay at Tulane until tomorrow afternoon. It appears that she went to graduation, based on the pictures she has been posting to FB. I guess the Dalai Lama was inspirational, according to D.

My son graduated yesterday. It was such a fun graduation. Yes the Dalai Lama was inspirational. He seems to be so serene, it was amusing. He also has a wonderful sense of humor. I don’t think anyone has ever seen the Dalai Lama bopping to some tunes, he really seemed to enjoy himself.
