Tulane's website indicates that National Merit finalists who list Tulane as their first choice will receive a $2000/yr scholarship. My son was awarded a Corporate Nat'l Merit Scholarship of $500/year through my employer. Being aware that some schools make up the difference between the school's Nat'l Merit award and the corporate award, and as I am trying to get down to a net cost for each college option as one factor for comparing schools, I called Tulane to see how they handle this. I was refered back to Nat'l Merit Corp., who in turn essentially referred me back to Tulane.

So I am looking for practical experience before I return to discuss this with Tulane. Is anyone out there a recipient of a corporate National Merit scholarship that is smaller in amount than that offered by Tulane, and if so, what if anything did Tulane do re the difference?

Thanks.
