<p>I badly want to send my optional essay with it. I have started on it and it looks good so far, but it needs lots of work. I especially want to submit it because my other essay for the school isn't especially good.
I'm applying to a small LAC, if that makes any difference.</p>
<p>The commonapp, recs, SAT scores, and everything else have already been submitted. </p>

<p>If it needs lots of work, I’m afraid one hour may not be sufficient. I have no idea how strict the LAC you are applying to would treat a one hour delay, but don’t take chances and submit the app before deadline. Finish the essay over the weekend and call up the admissions office Tue morning and ask if you can add the optional essay to your file. I think they would be fine with that.</p>
<p>I like how, in the cumulative time that it takes you to post this and then check it for responses (and then possibly reply to those), you will have probably spend nearly that one hour that you claim could have allowed you to finish the essay.</p>

<p>I wrote my mandatory essay in an hour. I realize this post is too late to help, but just sharing that it’s okay to procrastinate. ?I hope at least…</p>
