<p>So I've noticed that there are quite of few people with good alternative tastes on CC and thought to make a thread to share favorite bands, etc. Basically, just share anything pertaining to alternative indie music, rave about a cool concert you just went to, new album release, whatever. I'm always on the lookout for good songs to add to my music library, and thought CC might be a good way to find out about some cool bands and stuff. </p>

<p>Maitresse is a really great German emo band, similar to Cap’n Jazz. Also, am I the only one who’s heard of Monster Machismo/The Dan Drake Ensemble? I know MM split a while ago but re-grouped to make TDDE, but they’ve only released one song since then. They’re kind of math-rock/emo, leaning more on the math-rock side.</p>
<p>Aside from emo, I’m into punk and early DC post-hardcore bands
(Masshysteri, Q And Not U, etc) as well as electronica (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs is amazing!) and shoegaze. Anyone else open to sharing last.fm accounts? I’m konditori.</p>

versailles the philharmonic quintet, matenrou opera symphonic metal bands
d’espairsray disbanded earlier this year, but they and nightmare are punk/heavy metal bands</p>
