Last.fm is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than any other online radio like Pandora (which doesn’t even have half my music)

King of Limbs=huge letdown.

Dblazer: pandora is terrible! I made a grizzly bear station and it started playing snoop dog and r. Kelly randomly so I shut it off haha.

Turntabler: I know right?

Also, how is spotify? Does anyone use it?

@helloel I’n a Spotify addict. Listening to King of Limbs at the moment on Spotify, actually!

@turntabler I think the album needs to be listened to multiple times to engender an appreciation for the album. While not as “bombastic” as their previous albums, there is a subtle ingenuity in some of the songs, namely “Little by Little” and “Separator.” Though, if they included their separately released singles (Super Collider, The Butcher, Daily Mail, & Staircase) on the KOL, it probably would’ve been a much better album.

Honestly, there’s something in me longing for more “In Rainbows” style stuff. I couldn’t get enough of that album.

Also, here are a few of my favorite indie artists:

Titus Andronicus
M83
The Shaky Hands
The Joy Formidable
Sleigh Bells
Das Racist (it’s rap, but indie rap nonetheless)
Daedelus
Ratatat
The Kills
Spoon
Blonde Redhead
Fitz & The Tantrums
Mayer Hawthorne
Gold Motel
Bibio
The Whitest Boy Alive

Also James Blake’s s/t was great.

I don’t really have a favorite Radiohead album, I only like a couple of songs from each one. “Karma Police” is one of my all time favorite songs though.

I didn’t care for King of Limbs to be honest, but I’ll listen to it considering I am going to see Radiohead live soon.

Alright finally figured out last fm, it’s already 10x better than pandora

Awesome! Last.fm is great both for keeping track of your music and events. Added you as a friend.

Coldplay used to be WAY more indie…
But then came Viva La Vida, and now Mylo Xyloto…

You guys should check out their three first albums: Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, and X&Y.

I’d recommend “I Ran Away”; I LOVE this track.

If you guys haven’t heard the tUnEyArDs record this year, consider checking it out. Catchy, eclectic, socially conscious…pretty amazing.

A Rush of Blood to the Head is the only thing really keeping my respect for Coldplay. I saw them at Lolla, not expecting anything more than an average concert. But, 75% of their set was the aforementioned album, 30% was X&Y and 5% was Viva La Vida. Needless to say, it was ****ing spectacular.

I want to go to lollapalooza so badly! What year did you go?

Ahhh my favorite genre, here are my favorite bands-
Vampire weekend
Passion pit
Phoenix
Discovery
Beriut (I can never get the spelling, but they just released a new album called the rip tide)

Vampire Weekend is pretty nice, too.

Yeah the spelling is Beirut. But I don’t know how to pronounce it haha.

I think Vampire Weekend is coming out with an EP soon. Contra was amazing!

I think the pronunciation is like Bay-roo

Okay thanks. I feel like there are so many artists I listen to, but don’t know how to pronounce.

@turntabler: CYMBALS EAT GUITARS! I thought I was their only fan. Their lead singer actually grew up 10 minutes away from me. They’re fantastic. And so is every other band you posted.
