Turn Up Alternative/Indie Music on CC

Yeah, TheJuanSoto, I pretty much hate you. I just got a copy of Built to Spill’s There’s Nothing Wrong with Love, and its better than Perfect from Now On, which I didn’t even imagine was possible. Doug Martsch is a beast.

I’m going to the Coldplay Hollywood Bowl concert…and sitting in a box. Literally have never been more excited

It won’t earn me any street cred, but Blink 182 is the bomb. True story.

What’s your age, again?

I used to listen to Blink-182 a lot when I was younger and just never realized they were a little alternative until I started listening to that type of music. But they’re fun to listen to every once in a while.

I have another recommendation for you guys if you’re interested:

The English Riviera by Metronomy. Here’s one of the songs off of the album: [Metronomy - The Look - YouTube](<a href=“Metronomy - The Look (Official Video) - YouTube”>Metronomy - The Look (Official Video) - YouTube)

weekend by class actress

“keep you” is great too by class actress. You should check it out if you liked “weekend” and haven’t listened to the rest of their album yet.

Ah I love this thread! I have worked in two record stores, so music is my little obsession! My favorite albums of the moment are “Skying” by the Horrors, “Wild Flag” by Wild Flag and I’m still obsessed with the Fleet Foxes new one.

That’s a cool job. I wish I could get a good summer job like that or maybe during the year next year. How old did you have to be to work in those record stores?

Check out Autovaughn, White Rabbits, the Vines, and Be Your Own Pet.

I’d recommend Tennis, Cults, They Mean Us, and Marissa Nadler.

Passion Pit!

What’s everyone’s absolute favorite band/artist? Or top 3 at least.

For me, Vampire Weekend and the Shins always stay up there and recently I’ve been placing Hooray for Earth in my top 3.

Anyone going to Coachella?

I might be going to Pitchfork fest this year! WOO

Top 3 Bands? Very hard question. Cymbals Eat Guitars, Arcade Fire, Los Campesinos? I don’t know, there’s so many!

Hell Yeah! Pitchfork Fest is Chicago’s bust summer event after Lolla.

I know it is always hard for me to answer what’s your favorite band, I usually just spit out the first one I can think of that I listen to on a regular basis. But the top 3 I listed I guess were pretty accurate because I could think about it.

Last.fm won’t let me play more than 50 songs without paying because I don’t live in the US. Seriously, how is that fair? I don’t even remember my password, anyway. Listening to the Violent Femmes right now, though. And if luck is on my side, I’ll be seeing Radiohead in April.

I don’t know why yours is like that. I know mine won’t let me play songs through it on my iPhone. It only let me do a free trial and now I have to pay for it if I want to play last fm radio on my phone.
