The relief I felt when I turned in my application vanished. It is November 1st and still is, but the application said, "Submitted Novermber 2nd." Does anyone know if this is okay and supposed to happen? Should I contact common app about this?

If there are green checks you have nothing to worry about. Check for the confirmation email too, but you can email common app about it to be safe, wouldn’t hurt. It’s pretty buggy

Our experience was that the “submitted” date displayed as the day after it was actually submitted, and others have reported the same thing. It seems to be another Common App glitch, and I’m sure that colleges are aware of it.

Same thing just happened to me

I submitted yesterday and it said that I submitted Nov 1st

Just found out why this is happening. check this: https://appsupport.commonapp.org/link/portal/33011/33013/Article/1629/Submitted-Date-on-Dashboard

At the bottom it says:“On the Dashboard, the date you see may be slightly different; this is because the date that you see is displayed based on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which is 4 hours ahead of ET.”

That’s yet another glitch by the common app. I can’t complain too much though they have made all our lives a lot easier.

Happened to me too and I emailed common app. They confirmed that it was in fact submitted the day I submitted in, even though on their site it says submitted the next day.

My advice? Keep a copy of your confirmation email which should have come from common app minutes after your actual submittal…just in case.
