<p>If you deny the sir to a particular school, you have to send them a letter if you want to get your spot back--I don't know what the chances are.</p>
<p>If you accept a sir (but leave others open) to a particular school, you will forfeit the $100 if you decide to cancel and go to a different school.</p>

<p>There's no risk...In fact, you can submit a SIR to a different UC while your SIR is still standing with one of them. It's a simple matter of losing $100.</p>
