Turning in sat scores

Hi! so I took the October Physics SAT II subject test. I retook the test in November and did worse than before. Now I have to decide whether or not I'm going to take the December one...I'm already signed up for it.

The problem is, if I choose to take it, I can't send in my SAT scores until December. I haven't been studying this whole month and if I do decide to take the December test, there is a chance that I'll end up canceling the score and I'll be sending in my SAT score report late for no reason. My question is, if I end up delaying sending the SAT score report so I can take the December one, and then decide to cancel the December test, will I have to notify the UCs and USC that I cancelled my score?

Also...I'll have to add in the test section of the UC app and the common app that I will be taking the December test. for the common app, I can't add changes once I send it in. My USC deadline is December 1st so.....will I have to send all my other private schools that I "haven't taken the December test yet"? although the deadlines are in January?

Sorry if this sounds very very confusing...I'm just trying to decide whether or not to retake the test.
any feedback is much appreciated

USC: recommends but does not require SAT IIs. For its Dec 1 scholarship deadline you must send all required materials including SAT scores (again SAT IIs are not required) by Dec 1 and that means you better send at least your SAT scores now. It is questionable that USC would even consider Dec SAT II scores for scholarship purposes at all but you can attempt to send them in the hope that it might.

UCs: do not require SAT IIs but some recommend them for some majors. If you take Dec test you can send all your scores at that time but UCs want you to designate a UC in your Dec test application as one to automatically receive scores upon release, meaning as one of your free sends – that is the fastest form of delivery and assures scores will get to UCs on time but, of course, you will be sending that Dec score blind since it will be sent before you even know the score; you need send to only one UC because rest automatically get it from the one. If you take the Dec 1 test and cancel your score, which you have to do by Dec 5, then you could send your other tests at that time regular delivery and they will get to the UCs on time.

As to telling a college you will be taking a future test, it is just to let them know more scores may be coming; if you cancel and don’t send the test and it is not one required for admission, it means nothing because the colleges don’t actually care whether the test shows up or not. Whether you actually tell colleges you are taking the Dec test is up to you.
