Tuscaloosa Tornado gets face time in KC

Two students from UA are hosting a fun run/5K here in KC for Tuscaloosa tornado relief. The story was on our local news this morning. I happen to know one of these gals is the DD of a frequent poster here on CC.

Nice job, excited to support these young ladies!!

Great!

And, yes, one of the young ladies is the D of a mom who posts here. Mom must be proud! :)

Yes she is!!! We are excited for the 5k and the ability to “give back” to T-Town. There is going to be a raffle as well! So far we have 5 signed Saban footballs , autographed Chiefs and Bama items (Thanks Javier  ). There is a Facebook Page called “run for Tuscaloosa”.

^^^Read the article, it is a sad commentary on the nature of these government run programs. What help? What aid? The government has learned very little about helping disaster victims. That is just one reason it is so important for grass root organizations to step in.
