TUT: How to make your BS somewhat more believeable [ UNIVERSAL EXAMPLES]

Step 1: One of my examples is always Oedipus Rex. However the way i describe Oedipus Rex is completely BS. Nothing in my story actually happens in the real one. However it does give your essay more officiality than just stating, one guy named Oedipus did this

Step 2: Use a movie. I like to use Equilibrium by Cristiano Dimera Schwinzsy (BS, try to make names longer, takes up more space) Then i go on to make a BS story about something that relates to my subject

Step 3: Make up a politician. Please try not to make him american because we want worldy influences not just american. It makes your essay more believable and credifying (real word??) However if a politician cannot possible have anything to do with the subject then make up a product, or a person that fits.

Ta DA you are done and if you want to see how i did that then please look at these essays I wrote.

Topic: Is the world changing for the better

During the journey which we know as life, we have strove to create a more peaceful and resourseful world. Unforunately, the inventions and ideas we percieved as peaceful and resourseful have inflicted great pain to our most vulnerable and most important area- our health. After a careful analysis of the Acai Berry, the life of shi wung di, and the life of Ramire Husain, we can, without a doubt, conclude that the world is changing for the worse

In our fast food era, the human population is suffering from detrimental rates of obesity, heart problems, and the desire for "Six Pack abs". To try and meet the needs of the general public, scientists are pursuing the creation of fad diets and supplement pills such as the Acai Berry. The RDA (Reveal drugs association) has chemically broken down the famed Acai Berry, a "healthy" supplement tailored to burn fat", and found the contents not only to be malicious, but also life threatening. In the RDA's report to the public about the Acai Berry, they included statistics showing that nearly 5% of all Acai Berry users suffer from heart failure and 3% of all Acai Berry users have lost their lives due to the side effects of the acai berry. As the number of Acai berry automatons increase worldwide, we as a planet will experience devastating effects on our health. As it is evident, the Acai berry is gradually corrupting the health of many people around the world and is leading our world in the wrong direction.

During the 1750s, the Japanese Emperor Shi wong di conquered the ravenous mongolian hordes and the technologically advanced chines and place them under his control. This army was collectively known as the Red Mark because they were very ruthless and perfidious. Battle after battle, the red mark ruthlessly moved eastward spreading panic and chaos to soon-to-be conquered lands. In 1759, Shi Wong Di created the first major bomb made of gunpowder that could demolate a city the size of present day Washington DC. These bombs placed terror and fright in the hearts of millions of people across Europe and Asia. As one can clearly see, Shi wong Di has channeled the world into a negative abyss of warfare because he created an instrument of unparalleled destruction- the bomb.

In 1925, a brazilian doctor Ramir Husain invented the first steroid. His invention at first brought joy and fierce competition to athletes; but in years to come, the attitudes of athletes changed into disrespect and disdain followed. Sporting events were considered unethical due to the use of steroids. If it were not for his invention, millions of people would not have suffered and died from the deadly poisons found in steroids. As it is evident, Ramir Husains invention has led our world into a state in which we compensate our health for physical ability.

In conclusion, through the acai berry and the lives of Shi wong di and Ramir Husain, we can establish that the world is, indeed, changing for the worse. The spectacular inventions man has created may actually be detrimental for our and future generations.

Topic: Should people take the responsibility to solve problems that affect their communities or nation?

Ever since the dawn of time, man has become less and less self reliant. The invention of technology and the creation of government has undermined our independence and self sufficiency. It is crucial that people take the responsibility to solve problems that affect their communities or nation. Throughout society, literature, and films, the evidence to support my viewpoint is pervasive.

Through the actions of Kevin Boateng, poor families in southern Lousiana are receiving gifts for the holidays and the necessities of food such as food and drinkable water. During the famed press conference, Kevin Boateng told his motives for creating the LEHA (Lets feed and help America). He proudly stated "One day I was walking through walmart and an austere and astute boy asked his mother to buy him a snickers bar, a mere snickers bar. His mom sadly told him that they did not have enough money to afford it. Then the poor boy began to cry. This incident propelled me to create the LEHA because I realized the hardships in life and the little effort outside forces are doing to help families like these" As of 2010, the LFHA has raised over $450,000 through fundraisers, donations, and community festivals, to donate to impoverished families. Hence, Kevin Boateng's action of taking the responsibility to help destitute families in his community has enlightened the lives of many families and individuals.

In the famed play Oedipus Rex, Oedipus took it upon himself to rid the City of Corinth from thieves. In Corinth the theft rate was at an enormous 45%, a dazzling number. Unfortunately, the King of Corinth, King Lalibea, was not an advocate of arresting the robberies; infact, nobody really cared until they were robbed and many of the robbed did not stand up and do anything. When Oedipus was robbed, he decided it was time to take action, to make a difference. In his plot, he set up many sly and deceiving traps. The robbers literally walked into the traps because they had not faced any opposition in years. Every night he would behead every man he found caught in his traps. The people of Corinth were joyous and gay. The news spread to King Lalibea and he immedietly took note of Oedipus' action. As a result, Oedipus was appointed Head of the Chamber of Defense of Corinth. As one can clearly see, Oedipus' action of reducing the theft rate has made Corinth a peaceful and idyllic city.

In the blockbuster film Equilibrium by Roy Hendriksory, the State of Isabell was in frantic disarray. There were no laws prohibiting any act. There was no government, just a hereditary king that truly had no power. There were robberies, assassinations, mockery, heresy and not one man decided to do anything about it; even the king refused to help in fear of being assassinated. One dutch-man Nigel de Jong decided the time to wait was over and the time to act has come. He immediately pursued action. He set up committees, or miniature governments, throughout the land to govern a small section. Over time this grew into a large feudal system that had law and order. The citizens now lived in bliss and were fearless of crime because it was very rare because Nigel De Jong decided to take the responsibility to solve a major problem or crisis in his nation.

After a careful analysis of Kevin Boateng, Oedipus Rex, and Nigel de Jong, one can see that it is indeed crucial for people to take responsibility for solving problems that affect their communities and their nation. The world might not be where it is today if people like Kevin Boateng or Nigel de Jong did not take responsibility for solving problems and become mavericks of their time.

Ever since the dawn of time, man has been reluctant to follow the decisions and believe the ideas of people in positions of authority. This unique attitude has led to many rebellions and social reforms. In my opinion, it is crucial to question the ideas and decisions of people in positions of authority. Throughout literature, society, and films, the evidence to support my viewpoint is pervasive.

In the famed Greek play Oedipus Rex by Euriphedes, Oedipus defies the authority of King Lalibea of Corinth, an unjust and tyrannical ruler. Oedipus believed in freedom and a pristine world free of corruption. On numerous occasions when King Lalibea held public ceremonies and rituals, Oedipus defiantly questioned the decisions of King Lalibea such as invading the innocent Persians, and murdering the East Orthodox Pope of Constantinople. Oedipus’ voice and magnetic personality inspired the numerous peasant class and powerful merchant class to obtain a wider view and perceive King Lalibea as he truly is: a tyrant. Shortly after, social reform followed which freed the City of Corinth from the authoritarian rule of King Lalibea. For another 150 years the land was bliss and uncorrupted. Hence, Oedipus’ defiant and obdurate skepticism of the government had many bright and positive effects.

Also, one should take note of Huang Du Li, a reformist in the 1400’s during the Haji Shogunate’s rule of Japan. Huang Du Li lived in a major city named Astentine; there were no laws circumscribing the actions of the people and one was free to do whatever one pleased. The only form of punishment was personal revenge and the Shogun Ali Squan decided he did not want to abolish his current method of government. However, Huang Du Li did not prefer Ali Squan’s form of government and decided to find a new way to govern the country of Japan. Therefore, after making an educational trip to the splendid city of Shen Hai in China, Huang Du Li noted the orderly system of government and the equanimity present in China. He returned to Japan in hopes of implementing what he learned. Therefore, he began preaching in the city square of Tanzantia, the economic and political capital of Japan. By using sophistry, he won the favor of the strong merchant class and the powerful samurai class. Soon many other reformists such as the future shogun Ju li Hann joined his assault on Ali Squan’s totalitarian form of government. After the famed 40 year war, Japan became a democracy by destroying the earlier unadvocated tyrannical government. As one can clearly see, Huang Di Li’s questioning of the government proved to be a catalyst for important social reform.

In the film Equilibrium by John R Renyolds, everyone is required to take a daily injection of Intenside, a drug the blocks all human emotion temporarily. One day, Garret Taylor inscrutably loses his daily dose of Intenide. He began to view the world in a completely arcane way. After carefully analyzing the supreme leader, Father, he decides to make a rebellion for social reform. Taylor’s epiphany propelled him to make clandestine videos demonstrating the caustic behavior of Father because Father made many inhumane and bizarre decisions such as to eliminate all handicaps and to kill anyone who speaks against him. 50 years after Taylors death, a fellow rebel discovered Taylor’s videos and revealed them to the public. Soon after, many powerful people were beginning to realize how oblivious they had been to Father’s actions and they immediately overthrew him. In perspective , Garret Taylor’s ability to challenge the decisions of Father, even in the face of danger, proved to be sufficient in creating a pristine and idyllic world.

After a careful analysis of Oedipus Rex, Huang Du Lim and Garret Taylor, one can see that questioning the ideas and decisions of people in positions of authority is crucial to maintain equanimity and bliss.

haha this is great. have you actually used these essays? what were your scores?

lol wong di thats a terrible name

di is a first name

yeah with these essays are you positive you will not get a 0 for completely fabricating Oedipus rex? This would make everything so much easier on Saturday, i could make up a movie name and BS from there to back up any point…LOL!!!

What happens when your essay runs into an English professor who knows that it was really Sophocles and not Euripides (no h) whose plays feature Oedipus Rex?

I’m not saying this is a bad idea, but if you’re going to make stuff up, you should probably go the whole way.

SIGH, as long as you have the general characters its fine. DO not worry. They care about how your ideas connect. The reason we use popular plays is to show that it is prominent. If you used a school drama that has no value. Many people fabricate and it does not matter

No, but it’s still not a good idea to risk getting the name of an author wrong in case some vindictive old Hellenistic drama professor sees your essay and decides to hold it against you.

^Use obscure literature? xD

I totally agree with this. I’ve used the same examples for all of my testings and I’ve recieved 10/11’s on all of them.

My essay:

[Made up Confucius Quote]

1) Ping pong
2) Newton
3) MLK

[Another made up Confucius quote that connects the whole essay]

Fill up 2 pages

=10+ guaranteed.

Ok what the hell. That’s almost as bad as when I said MLK was the 22nd president in my essay.

Good thing Grover Cleveland was really a black civil rights activist, preacher, and motivational speaker who got his PhD from Boston University.

How about you write TRUTHFULLY in your essays, because good writing should come naturally? Also, try explaining these methodical lies when colleges look up your essays that College Board has available. Yes, they do that. Yes, it’s available. And no, colleges do not like academic dishonesty.

This is coming from the guy who wrote a 12 essay using genuine examples and not some strategic formula geared towards manipulating a system.

When colleges look at your SAT essay though, they’re looking for the quality of writing there to either find placement for you in an English course or to compare it to your college essays. They’re not looking for factual accuracy or lack thereof. If they see “Andrew Johnson, 23rd President of the United States…”, they’re not going to say, “Oh hey this kid thinks Benjamin Harrison = Andrew Johnson REJECT”. They’re also not going to say, “Hah the Tales of Hrngrudfburdir is not a real story. This kid is obviously not fit for Yale”. This is not academic dishonesty. Academic dishonesty is taking the answer key to a test, memorizing it, and acing the test without studying the content of the test.

You are deluding yourself if you think you are not being dishonest. Everyone who has convinced themselves them must lie when writing their essays in order to compete with others is rationalizing their behavior. Plenty of people write real examples and get high scores.

Let me introduce the concept of “The slippery slope”. Those of you who become lawyers or take ethics classes will learn this intimately. Basically the concept is where do you draw the line on any behavior. If it is okay to lie about “this” then is it okay to lie about “that”. And if it is okay to lie about “that” then is it okay to lie about the next thing. When does one stop? The same rules must apply to everyone in an ordered society, that is why we have laws.

^Eh, even the college board, the makers of the SAT, say that the graders do not deduct pts for misinformation. y not lie (as in making up fibs for the sat essay) if you can realize ur practical means of achieving a high score on the essay? the facts have little to do with ur critical thinking and deep analysis, for which the SAT is testing.

Once I made a big essay…BS
Topic: Do we need other people in order to understand ourselves?

We need other people to understand ourselves. Root “psychology” comes from Ancient Greeks. It means “clairvoyant”, someone who can foresee and explain to person who is he. Nowadays, people whose job is to help people to understand who they are in reality are named psychologists. This is another part of science – psychology. Among first psychologists were J. Franchat, A. John, J. Rivera, and others. Both Susan Hollander’s case and sportsmen, who take part in Olympic Games, clearly exemplify that we need psychologists to interpret who we are and what we should do in various situation.

Let us consider Susan Hollander’s case. She lived in Topeka, Kansas. Her love was Mr. Bagwell, who killed 6 students in Alabama and escaped to Kansas. The problem is that she didn’t know who he really is, and that his place is in prison. Accidently she was watching “America’s Most Wanted” and understood who he is. Then, in zenith of this case, she called 911 and her “love” was in jail. Susan H. had a bad feeling; not good ones… She couldn’t carry on her life with feelings that someone easily circumvented her. That is why Ms. Hollander suggested with psychologists. And their advice was to stand face-to-face with Mr. Bagwell and speak all she had on her mind. Eventually, she did so; after that, she had easily continued her daily life. Thus, did she need “other peoples” to understand who is she? The answer is definitely “Yes”. In the term “understand ourselves”, in this case, we take into account to extricate from hard psychological problem, to understand who we are in this case and what we should do.

Another good example is sportsmen who take part in Olympic Games. In any kind of competition they need psychologist’s help. Only one thought that you have been preparing four years for four minutes scares every participant. According to psychologist’s analysis the rule number one to do well is to close your eyes for how your opponents were, I mean, don’t look for other’s results, just do your job—to go and to win. Each sportsman should imbue himself that he is a winner, that he is the best, and nobody, for instance, skies better than he does. These all characteristics are creating “mood for success” and theoretically it refers to the “psychology”. Today, we can’t imagine skier without psychologist. Eugenie Plushenko is good confirmation to that theory. He won Olympic Gold Medal in 2005, and, in interview with his trainer, they explained that this Gold Medal is impossible without psychologist’s assistance. In addition, 2005 Analysis of Olympic winners shows that preparation and psychological inspire play equal part in sportsman’s success. Hence, one could conclude that it’s very and again very important to understand ourselves. This example, shows that people, whose job is to help understand people who they really are, is the one of the keys for the success.

After careful analysis of Susan Hollander’s case and participants in Olympic Games, we can see that we need others to understand ourselves. The nineteenth-century moralist’s view was that every person is “closed flower with ability to jump though hardships and to extricate from them” and we need “sun light and desire to go” to amaze surrounding people with “beauty and aroma of our flower”.

Oh my gosh, i would never do this for a real essay, but since the time limit is there and you need every second, this is the most practical way to go

I must be missing the problem here; I cannot see anything wrong with making up fake events, fake people, and fake quotes on an essay for the SAT. The Collegeboard clearly states that the factuality of an essay does not effect its score.

If there was anything that would be considered academic dishonesty, it would be people who stack extracurricular activities on their apps and write rubbish about how much they care about things that they almost never do. Perhaps you should go regulate that instead, except for the fact that almost everyone does it.

From where I am standing, there is a large difference between a factual inaccuracy introduced by mistake in the process of writing a detailed essay, and an obviously fabricated BS example employed merely to get a high score. I honestly don’t see how anyone can claim that to be morally correct just because CollegeBoard does not deduct points for it.

If it is your personal belief that making up facts on an SAT essay is morally wrong, then that’s fine, just don’t do it. However, it would be wrong for you to insist that other people follow this code of ethics you have set for yourself, especially since the test administrator has no problem with the situation. Yes, there are people who write about factually accurate events, people, instances, whatever and receive high essay scores. I am one of them. There are also people who make up facts and also receive high essay scores and nothing you can do aside from taking over collegeboard and implementing a new factuality in essays policy will change that. You are indeed correct that society has laws in order to discourage behavior that is considered to be detrimental to the common good. The fact that collegeboard has not implemented rules about factual accuracy in its essays should indicate that using fabricated examples is not something that it considers to be detrimental.
