I have agreed to tutor two students: one for the PSAT and one for the SAT. This is mainly on the basis of my scores on these tests.

I have some tutoring experience: for the past two years I have been the TA for the intro physics class, and have helped students work through homework problems. But physics problems aren't like SAT problems, where you need to immediately solve the problem. Part of the reason I think I do well on standardized tests is how quickly I can work through a section...how do you teach that?

Can anyone offer advice on how best to prepare for tutoring? All I ever did to prepare was diligently study a few reference books and make sure to take full length tests as often as possible.

Cheers,
Kevin
