Tutoring requirements?

Hi, all.

I'm planning on becoming an SAT tutor on the side to help get some pocket money and book money for when I attend university next year.

My question is, how much could I command per hour with a 2340? And, if I retook and scored a 2400, could I ask for considerably more?

I noticed that this guy, Michael Fikar, runs this website where he charges about $1000/hour because he's scored multiple 1600/2400. Do you guys think having more than one 2400 could help me get my rates up from one 2400, or even a 2340?

Thanks, all!

Even if you have 3 times in a row 2300++ you can ask for more.But 1000$//hour is too much :}

1000 an hour?

Whoever would do that is an idiot. Plain and simple.

Scoring well on the SAT is possibly necessary but not sufficient to be a very good SAT tutor, you have to be a very good teacher as well, and the two don't always go hand in hand. I do know some people that charge in the $120 - $150 / hour range, but pretty much without exception they have college degrees and years of teaching experience. And personally, I don't think any tutor is worth 1 k$ / hr.
