Tutors vs Classes

what do you think is more beneficial? A personal tutor or classes?

ill have more details soon, but what do you think offers the best value?

like i said more to come right now i g2g

^A qualified personal tutor is probably better as you have more one on one time as opposed to being a class with a bunch of other people.

does anyone have any tips as to how to find a good tutor?
Craigslist?

Self-tutor. Learning the material is actually pretty simple. Buy yourself a nice prep book and learn on your own time.

According to a few people that I know that are older than me, if you have surpassed an 1800 in your practice tests, classes will not help you. After that point, only a tutor can help.

I disagree that after an 1800 only a tutor can help. I know someone who started around that score and took a PR course and went up above 2100.

Depends on whether you need help across the board or only in one or two areas. If you need overall SAT help, then a course would probably be better. If you need just a little help in specific areas, then a tutor. A tutor would be too expensive for overall prep IMHO.

Either way, start with self-prep so you know what your strengths and weaknesses are. And in the end, it’s going to be up to you anyway, no matter which option you go for.
